Launched 6th November 1933 the Amagisan Maru was built by Mitsui Bussan Kaisha Ltd, Japan. She was originally built as a cargo and passenger ship to serve the Japan to New York Line.
At 7,620g.t. and 137m in length she was powered by a single 8,470hp Mitsubishi Engine.
Today she lies predominantly upright with a slight list to port, her bow in 42m and her stern descending to 60m. There is a small tanker-truck on the sea-bed and hold #2 contains a great deal of cargo, including cars. Both bow and stern have a gun. Best visited with trimix.
